1. I love the opening line in this song, beacuse its so true. Isn’t is such a lovely thing that we exist in one another’s dreams? We’ve recently begun to exist in one another’s futures. Isn’t that so lovely?

2. “Take me to a new home, I’d like nothing more, than to make it with you. Lets go inside and close our door. And Stay in bed all morning”. Is a refernce to our growing want to be together all the time. Our slow mornings wrapping out of one pretzel into another, accentuated with soft kisses and light murmurs of “I love you so much.” We just love being around each other. You know there is a solution to that right??

3. “You take me in your arms, with that look in your eyes, that tells me,…its not only a dream we’re in, tells me that we’re under no spell, this is just the way we feel.” I like how this references the opening line of being in each other’s dreams. What we’re living, the moments we share, can sometimes seem unreal to me. But its true. Jokes of putting a spell on one another aside, this love is real. This is simply just the way we feel.

4. “Seeing you in the morning is a motivation, it really gets me going, it makes me wanna shine, makes me wanna be yours, makes me wanna be mine.” Not only do I sleep better when we’re together but waking up next to you has to be the best way to start my morning. I don’t really subscribe to the conventional notion of “you’re mine” because of the connotations of ownership. However, I like its use in the lyrics because its a reframing. Its a choice to give somebody else parts of you. You influence my manner of speaking, my choices, my lived experiences. In that way, I am choosing to be yours. But in the same regard this love motivates me to be my own person. You make me want to shine.

Other things I love: This song is just a single verse and I fucking love that. Throws out song structure and really just feels like a stream of consciousness. I feel like the drums really help guide the verse along as they mimic the pace of gradual progression. To me the lyrics are this thing floating in the ocean of the music, moving along to the waves created by the drums. (bruh why do I write this dramatically). Lou’s vocals totally fit your musical aesthetic. This song to me feels the most like you.
